Flight of Typhoon Ib JR500 and Flying Officer R. N. McDonald on 1944-11-03

At the date of 03-11-1944, time: not known, Hawker Typhoon serial JR500 (squadron code 5V-X) was lost. The aircraft was participating in a a mock dog-fight (air combat training), it stalled in a tight turn, hit a house and crashed killing the pilot.

The location of the plane was found at: Eindhoven (Stuiverstraat 39). The unit of crew and plane is: 439 Squadron. First flyer rank: Flying Officer, name: R.N. MacDonald service number J/21003. The plane belonged to the Allied forces.
