Greg… Are you still reading the blog?

I got an e-mail this morning from WordPress that I had a comment on “our” blog. I want to share it with you.

It was about a post I wrote about a Spitfire pilot…

21 August 1942 – Pilot Officer Mitch Johnston?

Pilot Officer Mitch Johnston

There is a comment left in the comment section by Pilot Officer Mitch Johnston’s son to which I have replied. I wrote him  about how you and I met the first and only time around a dinner table in 2011.

Do you remember what I had told you on how this blog would evolve?

  1. Hoping someone on the site can help with identifying the Sergeant stripes. The stripes came from items given to me after my uncle died. Pilot/Sergeant Albert L. Haynes would have been my uncle’s first cousin and since there were no other Sergeants in the family I believe they may have belonged to Sgt. Haynes. Can anyone identify these stripes as being the style or type issued by the RAF or RCAF?

    Thank you, Don Howard

  2. Please tell me how to find the “blog”. I found the Facebook Page but I don’t know the difference between that and the blog. I ask that you please give my email address to Pierre Lagace regarding my father, J. Joel Parnass, a Canadian radio operator with Squadron 403 in Britain. Thank you, Catherine Parr
