      Dean is a retired air force Lieutenant-Colonel with 30 years’ service in the Canadian Forces. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Air Force Association of Canada and Publishing Editor of Airforce magazine. As a defence analyst Dean helped coordinate early development of the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces’ corporate strategy. As Executive Director of the Air Force Association of Canada Dean has gained significant experience in nonprofit governance, event management, marketing, association development, and membership recruiting and retention. As Publishing Editor, Dean has been responsible for all aspects of magazine production, editing, writing, advertising, subscriptions, ad design, artwork, layout and presentation. He also serves as national secretary to the Royal Canadian Air Force Association Trust Fund – a fund supportive of Canada’s air cadet program.
